Burntisland Golf House Club
About
Burntisland Golf House Club in Fife, Scotland, is an 18-hole golf course designed by architect Willie Park Jun. It's best described as having a parkland nature, although some holes have a links-type turf to hit off. The course is just under 6,000 yards and has a diversity of terrain.
The fun starts with three par 3s in the first six holes, but birdie opportunities abound. There's only one par 4 over 400 yards, for instance, so good length off the tee and control of mid-irons can lead to that elusive below-par score. The two par 5s are also tamable: No. 2 has a tricky two-tier green that's narrow from front to back, but 12 is much less challenging for the low-handicap golfer.
Throughout the golf course, however, control is key. Out of bounds lies to the left of the first four holes and the 18th, and to the right of nine and 10. You face a pond to the right on five, and you have to maneuver past a quarry on 12. Beyond that, the course throws up its share of trees, gorse and rough all over.
When you finish the course, check out the clubhouse, which offers a bar/lounge/dining area. The bar's open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the summer.

Excellent
Beautiful course in excellent condition some quite tricky nlind holes if not played before
Quirky
As you travel through Fife on your pilgrimage to worship at the Home of Golf stop off at Burntisland Golf Club and discover a golfing gem. Spoke with a guy the day after I played (twice this week) and he used the word I had previously used to descried the course to another person ‘Quirky’, first time I have played a blind par3. Great layout (quite hilly) and the condition of the course was very good, especially the greens, the tees could use some TLC but this did not detract from the pleasure of playing the course, all the staff were very pleasant and I will be going back a couple of times throughout the summer. I played a couple of big name courses at St. Andrews that week but they did not match the condition of Burntisland.
The course review
The course is in great condition with amazing views really is a hidden gem would recommend to anyone to play there and especially for the prices amazing
Great course but very poor weather
Good morning,
Whilst I appreciate the booking fee is non refundable, the weather conditions at Burntisland Golf Club yesterday was horrendous with heavy rain and wind plus low temperatures. Later in the round, the greens became flooded.
My 2 friends for this booking, both in their 70’s were unable to play in these conditions, us there any chance of some kind of refund for this booking?
I did play with another friend, it was not pleasant...!!!
Many thanks

Great value for money , best in the area!
Very quirky in places , fantastic views , some holes blind , going to play again before we go back down south.
Beautiful and picturesque
This was my favourite course I've played. Got lovely conditions for it and there were so many holes that take your breath away. Absolutely stunning
Burntisland

Burntisland
First time playing here.Very nice course well looked after.Good variety of holes to challenge your golf game will definitely be back soon
Great condition
Great condition for this time of year and great that not playing off fairway mats and only 1 winter green
Nice course with some tricky holes with blind tee shots. Great views too.
Quirky Course
A quirky course with some interesting and challenging holes. Could do with some signage to the next tees as hot list a few times, but the Greenkeeper kept popping up at the right moment. A bit wet but no surprise at this time of year. In dry conditions could help or hinder down some of the long hills!! Great welcome from the Pro and very helpful. - very Covid safe.
Worth the money
Very good course only drawback a couple of blind t shots, beautiful scenery and you can Walk it but im glad we hired a buggy.
Great course layout and views
Really enjoyed the variety of this course, the views were great too. I was disappointed that the greens had been cored, sanded and smelled of fertilizer, which made it impossible to properly experience the greens. If normal greens I'd rate this course 4-5 star.
