Desperado/Diablo at Badlands Golf Club

I only paid $20 for the green fees and cart but they charged me an additional $25 just for my wife to ride in the cart with me. She wasn't playing and since we were on vacation it was important to spend time together. I played several other courses in Vegas and it was free for her to ride with me. I won't play the Badlands again.

There are only a couple of holes that you would use your driver. You will hit irons, hybrids, and 5 wood. It is a nice course and your focus will be choosing the club for the right lay up yardage. The greens were slow.

I like the course because, it was different.

I love this course. Very challenging because of the many hazards and narrow fairways. Have to lay up on many par 4s.

I liked this course a lot!! I will play it again the next time I am in Vegas. I had read a bunch of negative reviews due to the waste areas. I lost one ball on the 18th hole.
Next time I will purchase a yardage book if available. The GPS on the golf cart doesn't give you enough information and I was playing with someone that had never played the course before either. Make sure you play from the tees that matches your playing level!! Play from the white or blue tees if you are over a 10 handicap. Don't play from the BLACKS!!

Very challenging but not unfair, yardage book is a must. If you want to pound driver all day, bring balls. Played Desperado and Diablo, the hardest 2 and only hit 3 drivers, alot of hybrids and 3 woods off the tee, Keep it in play and it's a very enjoyable course to play.

Greens rolled very nicely! Tees and fairways were in great shape and well groomed.

Used a $30 GolfNow deal for two of us, which was a great bargain. The course is nice and scenic with some mountains in the background (and some HUGE houses on a few holes). My issue is with the design, just overly punishing for the average golfer. I'm about a 12 hdcp, I'll hit some good shots but I'll miss my share of fairways and greens also. I don't mind missing and having to punch out from behind a tree, or a bunker but, on this course, your ball is gone if you miss. I even lost a few balls after they hit the fringe because the dropoffs are so severe around the greens. My wife didn't care for it because it had too many forced carries. Many times she had to lay up rather than try to hit the perfect shot. Maybe this is fun for some golfers, not really for me personally.

Got on for $35 on Golf Now and it was worth it. Greens were very nice, and would have been perfect if not for being slow, but I understand they need to be a little longer because of the heat. I wish it hadn't been cart path only on most holes. Will for sure go again.

Excellent course, but visually challenging. Several holes that dogleg, but unless you have a yardage book or are playing with someone who has played the course, you won't know which way it turns, or what the best target line is. Definitely will play again!

Very tight course with some good holes...we played in about 100 degree weather and there was no drinking water any where! We saw the cart girl Only 3 times...pace of play was excellent...course was in ok shape...we payed $35 on golf now.

Played Desperado as front 9, Outlaw as back 9. Challenging all around, especially with occasional strong winds that almost always seemed to be working against us (I played as a single, paired up with a two-some). Enjoyed the course, will be better prepared next time I play as it requires some strategic shots. Some holes are very penal if you miss the fairways. The greens need some TLC and respect from everyone who plays there, there were tons of ball marks that players have left without repairing. ETIQUETTE PLEASE PEOPLE, REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS! It drives me crazy when players don't respect the course they're playing or the other golfers around them. Hope to get back to play Diablo soon, one of the staff said it is his favorite of the 3 nines. Killer residents deal, will take advantage of this more often!

This course was one of our favorites that we use to brag about to our golfing buddies. It has sadly deteriated. The tee boxes are sadly neglected with weeds and gravel all in the wrong places. The ball washers were not operative on most of the tee boxes. One of them came right off , top and all. The towels were old and dirty if you can call them that.

The staff were very good and friendly. We were told the course has been sold. They will have their work cut out for them to bring back paying customers. These ones for sure! Very disappointing.

I think from now on these course will be on my do list everytime I'm in the area. The staff is great and the food is good, and the course is fun, what more do you need?

Upon arrival I went to the bag drop, unloaded clubs myself and parked. Headed to Pro shop for pre-paid round and no issues. Went to driving range, mats only, was given no range balls, however someone left a dozen or so, so i got to warm up. On practice putting green starter paired me up and we were off. Just under 4 hr round. Good pace and friendly partners. Course is target golf to the extreme. Tough, bring lots of balls. Only unfair hole is 9 desperado, where you must carry 240 to reach fairway. Not for beginners. They could use some more sand in bunkers.

First time at this course. Great layout. Need to play more than once to score well. Beautiful day, 75 degrees, very little wind.

If you like target golf, this is for you. A lot of layup holes off the tee. It was fun

All 4 of us enjoyed playing at Badlands. We got around very quickly and really had a good time.

First time played at this course. Fairways Excellent, Greens good. tees fair. Will golf here again. I do recommend this course for all levels of golfer. Lost two balls.

I found his course to be very challenging. It tested my ability to make shots. I will be back.
