Best course in Ireland
Unbelievable golf course. Best I’ve played in Ireland.
Stunning golf course
Beautiful course well planned with stunning views. Greens are varied and challenging. Brilliant balance of challenging and rewarding. Would definitely recommend hiring a buggy as it is quite long and hilly in places.
Will definitely be making this at least a once a year outing.
Stunning course
Probably one of my favourite courses with every hole setting up as a different challenge.
Fairways are beautifully laid out and the greens and tees were immaculate.
Friendly pro shop and Great service in the bar/restaurant afterwards.
A great day… thank you
Amazing Championship Course!
Concra Woods is by far one of the best courses I've played in my life!! A long challenging course with hills on the front, some flat terrains on the back, before the last 3 holes are a somewhat steady incline towards the clubhouse, and some of the most difficult greens I've ever played (remember, they ALWAYS slope to towards the water!).
But, above all else, every single hole was met with me saying "wow, what a view!" We had typical Irish weather conditions today...hazy rain, clouds, sun, more drizzle, overcast, sun, you get my drift, but I was just taken aback on every single hole and the VIEWS! The landscape is breathtaking (see my pics for the proof!). Some par 4's are lonnnnnnnnng, but challenging, as they should be! The only reason the "course conditions" didn't get a 5, is because none of the sand traps had been raked, and I feel that that goes a long way for visiting golfers. Yes, I spent a good few times in them, but the ground was somewhat tough, and perhaps having been raked, it might have softened the ground a bit. BUT, that's a small critique....I can't really say anything bad about this course. I can't wait to play it again!
Absolutely stunning course, I've played this from it first opened and never tire of it. All staff including greens staff are super friendly
Great course
One of the nicest courses I've played , the views around are amazing , would recommend a must play
On of my favourite courses generally, however, on this occasion I was very disappointed in the condition of the course…. Greens were full of moss and had been over seeded which made them virtually unplayable. Also removed a lot of the trees that gave so much definition to some of the holes. Very soft all round also.
Windswept
Course was lovely in its layout only downgraded course conditions due to it being so wet every shot plugging and the wind so strong which is a bit unfair as would love to play in the summer
Slow Slow Slow
We teed of at 2.20. A two ball in front at 2.10. When we reached the third - the two ball was in front mid hole and a four ball close to the green- we had to wait a good few minutes on the fourth- and then realised the 4 had let the 2 through - we waited and waited every hole through to the ninth - behind them for minutes every shot - and yet they didnt let us through - slowest 9 holes ever - we where 2 hours 45 to nine - then they walked slowly off - shocking. Never again
So good I played it twice !!
Played first time on 26th August … was so mind blown I went back again on the 29th And brought son with me to let him see it for himself as pictures don’t do it justice .
Beautiful course and surrounding areas … already planning to do again before season ends!
I have played this course many times from it first opened, seeing it develop over the years as it keeps getting better. Have played in summer and winter conditions. Winter play is excellent.
This is a serious challenge of golf, we walk it every time and it's a beautiful walk round the course for around 4hours 30 minutes. Have shot from -3 par to +10 over par depending on conditions.
A must play course..
Probably should have been closed today
The course was very wet underfoot which resulted in plugged balls, some lost, and slippery conditions.
It had been raining overnight and Hole1 was closed for drainage repairs, but even so, the slippery conditions existed even atop hills.
Given that the course is very hilly this meant that on several occasions only the golf trolley prevented a fall.
The scenery is beautiful and the course layout uses the lake to the full. It is a fair challenge.
I wonder how the course plays when dry.
The restaurant food was good and staff were great.
