Falcon Golf Club
About
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Great Facility
Overseed took very well. Greens were on the slow side but ok. Staff is amazing
Another GolfNow Gem
Falcon Golf Club is a good course that was in great shape. You can't go wrong playing here whether or not you pay full price or get a screaming deal on GolfNow. Greens are typical Arizona, somewhat hard and bumpy in places. Overall a great experience.
Super sonic headache
My wife and I are living our first winter in the Phoenix area, and heading back to MN for the summers. We golf regularly at many courses as we enjoy new challenges.
We definitely will not ever return to The Falcon even if we were given a free round. Besides the ever present blast of our air force pilots practice takeoffs and landings right next to the course, it was very slow golf. If you are able to temporarily put the screaming intense noises out of your heads you have to deal with slow play and no ranger in sight. No beverage cart, Rock hard rough, missing grass in fairways, slow greens, and carts that screech, were enough to recommend to all golfers to stay away. Oh.. and the man who took our money was more interested in finishing his seemingly mundane conversation with a regular than serving us.
Great afternoon of golf
We were three and had a great round no real waiting. Play was real good course was in great shape and all the jets made it very interesting
Had not been here for a couple years but it is a great place to golf
nice course
our booking was for 12:00 (Hot Deal) which was changed to 12:07 at check-in and as we were ready to tee off we were told that a couple of extra men's league teams were to go ahead of us. Since our friends had to be done by 4:30 we refused to let them go ahead of us. The starter was not happy about that.
The speed of play was extremely slow and if we would have let the extra teams go ahead of us we would not have been able to finish before sun down.
I predict the Falcon will be close down wi5in 5 years
I’ve played the Falcon dozens of times over the past 8 years and it has consistently filled an important niche in the marketplace......it provided the “best slice for the price” in the west valley. For years you could get a twilight rate with cart of $25 or less. The layout is fun, the greens and tees were always good, fairways were playable, there’ was no sand in the bunkers and off the fairways was pretty rough, but for the money it was a good deal. I understand the course is now under new ownership and the same fair to poor overall golf experience is being offered for a twilight rate of $35. It ain’t gonna fly! While I understand that it’s hard to pay the bills at $25 a golfer, there are several other much superior courses in the area offering twilight rates of $39-$40. I’ll gladly play the Falcon for $30 or less but it isn’t worth a nickel more.
Solid Course with Friendly Staff
Golf Course was in very playable shape on fairways and greens. Overseed was good.
There was no on-course beverage service.
Staff was courteous and helpful before and after the round. Pace of play was very slow, 5 hours after a 20 minute start delay.
Well at least the air show is cool
Reading the reviews we should have known better than to try this track. If they actually took care of the course and gave it some.....OK, LOTS of TLC, it might be worth the trip. As it is, it’s a value-driven course that is best left to those who like watching the fighter jets at neighboring Luke Air Force base versus an enjoyable game of golf. Even getting a Hot Deal its not worth the $35 fee.
New Owner
Desert areas were cleaned up........made for a quicker round and fewer lost balls!
another great day
Course in good shape this year. Grass is much
better but don't get as much roll
Potential
Haven’t played course in a few years. We heard a new owner attempting to fix it up. Greens were great, fairways pretty good. Once off the fairway some messy areas but could find the balls easily.
Bunkers still a little too firm but we can see improvements. We loved the jets so close overhead although a little loud, was very impressive. We will return.
Friendly
Course is getting better and they are working hard to improve it. You need to try it.
More challenging than it looks
Golfed this course for the first time without ever seeing it. Was a bit disappointed in the appearance. Mostly dirt paths rather than paved makes for a very dusty round of golf. Todd met us at our car and was very nice. He unloaded clubs and took them over to cart while we chcked in. When we were done Todd was right there again and cleaned our clubs before loading them back into our car. My biggest issue was the lack of a scorecard that showed and information on the course - no picture of layout. In fact scorecards were xeroxed pieces of paper that were quite blurry. Signs on each teebox also lacked graphic showing layout of tee box to green. The course was in pretty good condition though and actually challenging. When on the back nine you get to see cars racing at the racetrack next door which was pretty cool.
