The Golf Courses of Lawsonia - The Links Course

Green Lake, Wisconsin | 18 holes | Links | Par: 72 | 6853 yards

The championship-quality course is reputed as one of the most celebrated and challenging courses in the Midwest. Since most holes on the Links were built as replicas of Scottish & English golf course holes, its layout strongly resembles courses played in the British Open. Under the direction of architect Ron Forse in 2000, the Links course had 150 trees removed as part of an architectural restoration plan; therefore, it is predominantly treeless. Wind comes into play due to green elevation and the open fairways. It features gently rolling terrain, bent grass fairways, multi-tiered, unusually elevated, moderately fast greens that are surrounded by about 90 strategically placed steep bunkers, deep rough and large snaking sand traps
