Description
You're invited to experience the excitement at
Virginia's most dramatic new championship course at
General's Ridge. Challenge your game amidst a
hardwood forest of oak, beech and poplar trees
amidst rolling hills and breathtaking scenery.
This 18 hole championship course plays 6294 yards
from the back tees. With four tee boxes, the
course is accessible, enjoyable and unusual
for golfers at all levels. This site earned
a place in history as Civil War Confederate
General Richard S. Ewell built his winter encampment
here. If you are looking for a solid challenge,
General's Ridge is an ideal course to play.

#16. A beautiful hole, yet extremely challenging.
Your tee shot cannot exceed 200-210 yards, thus
making for a long, uphill second shot. The fairway
disappears after 210 yards with an 80 - 100
foot dropoff called the "Big Valley".
