Laid out among the rolling hills of north Texas, around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake, The Resort Golf Club is a scenic and challenging par-72 championship golf course. Opened in 2003, the par-72 course plays 6,626 yards from the back set of tees, with a variety of doglegs, mature live oak trees, water features, strategic bunkering, rock walls, and raised, undulating greens. While the course is fairly generous off the tees, there are definitely times where exacting approach shots are a must if you want to score well. The par-4 16th, for example, is one of those holes. The no. 1 handicap hole is 416 yards long with a good-sized lake in front of the green. A great drive and even better approach is the key to success. The 16th is part of a nice finishing stretch that includes a good risk-reward par-5 hole at the end. The 18th is 547 from the back tees, but somewhat narrow, so anyone who tries to get near the green in two will have to be accurate as well as long. In addition to the golf course, The Resort Golf Club also has excellent practice facilities that include a full driving range, chipping green, practice bunker, and practice putting green. A well-stocked golf shop includes the latest in apparel, accessories and equipment. And inside the clubhouse, you'll find locker rooms for both men and women as well as a bistro restaurant that serves soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees daily.
