Once an exclusive private club, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a top notch daily fee facility with a golf course that's both challenging and fun to play. Formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing, the course reopened in 2014 with new management and has become a daily fee favorite in the Nashville area ever since. Designed by former PGA Tour player Bill Bergin, the par-72 layout can be stretched to nearly 7,000 yards, but there are four other sets of tees, starting at around 5,000 yards, making it playable by all. The course sprawls across rolling hills with some dramatic elevation changes and lots of uneven lies. There are a few blind shots, and the greens are generally fast with lots of undulation. The course is Bermuda grass from tee to green, and there are both fairway bunkers and greenside bunkers as well as some water that comes into play.? The no. 1 handicap hole is the 534-yard par-5 16th, which plays through a narrow chute of trees, putting a premium on accuracy. The course ends with a sharp dogleg right par 4 that plays 425 yards from the tips. In addition to the golf course, Twelve Stones also has excellent practice facilities that include a driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. There's The Learning Center, a state-of-the-art facility with Trackman technology and the capability to practice in a controlled environment year-round. It also offers clubfittings, private lessons, virtual range sessions and rounds. There's a well-stocked golf shop in the clubhouse as well as the Sand Trap at Twelve Stones, which offers lunch, dinner and a Sunday brunch.
