Turnberry Golf Club, an 85-acre parcel of land that rehabilitates an existing aggregate extraction area (pit), is designed to capture some of the characteristics of British Isles golf and its parent course - Eagles Nest Golf Club (Maple, Ontario). With undulating topography, sparse vegetation, and exceptional green contours, golf at the "Short Course" will provide visual interest, variety, and a challenge for any/all caliber of golfer.
Turnberry is an executive length golf course, approximately 3,300 yards in length. The course begins and ends with a long par four with 16 challenging par three’s between the two-fours to fill the gap. Each hole has a sense of individuality with large scale mounding proving a sense of enclosure and separation for the golfer. Holes have been designed to emphasize variety, with the goal to have the golfer use every club in their bag. The expansive tee decks, generous green complexes, and strategic placement of bunkers will ensure challenge, variety, and playability. Carrick Design has incorporated and integrated these important elements into the design to ensure an exciting and enjoyable golf experience.
An impressive practice facility, complete with a Dwarf Blue grass teeing area, six target greens, and a putting and chipping area provides the perfect venue to work on your game.
The clubhouse is approximately 5,000 square feet with an open concept restaurant called NINE18, wrapped around terrace and patio, indoor/outdoor fireplace, full service bar and lounge, and fully stocked golf shop.
