A beautiful and challenging championship layout, The Ranch Golf Club is arguably the finest public course int the Springfield area. Carved out the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, The Ranch, which was designed by Damian Pascuzzo and built on a historic dairy farm, stretches out to nearly 7,200 yards from the back tees. Each hole is like a course until itself, with beautiful lakes and streams, elevation changes and strategic bunkering. Once named among the top 50 golf courses in America and no. 3 in Massachusetts in 2018 and 2020 by Golf Pass, the course features well-manicured bentgrass from tees to greens, which are undulated and well-protected. Many of the holes are mostly tree-lined, and high naive grasses around the fairways frame the holes beautifully. The course has an impressive collection of par-3 holes, and some good risk-reward opportunities on the shorter par 4s. The back nine is 300 yards longer than the front, and definitely a little more difficult. The finishing stretch is impressive, too, culminating with a blind tee shot on the par-4 18th. The Ranch also has four sets of tees, starting at just under 5,000 yards. In addition to the course The Ranch Golf Club offers a driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. The club's stunning barn clubhouse has a well-stocked golf shop as well as locker facilities. Dining facilities in the clubhouse include The Pub as well as The Patio outside, offering a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, main courses and craft beer.
