Mountain Harbour Golf Club, formerly called The Ridges Country Club, is a gorgeous course in the mountains of southwest North Carolina. Located off of Highway 64 some six miles east of the town of Hayesville and very close to the Georgia border, this William C. Byrd design from 1992 has made multiple appearances on Golf Advisor s list of the Top Courses in North Carolina. Tee times are quite affordable. Byrd carved the playing field out of woodlands to be the focal point of a residential and golf development in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mountain Harbour Golf Club regularly receives praise for its layout, scenery, and greens. The mountain views are spectacular, especially during fall foliage season. Notwithstanding the surroundings, the layout rambles on rolling terrain that is not severe Mountain Harbour Golf Club s fairways are generous and generally comfortable to play from. Trouble comes largely from going wide of the fairways into the rough and trees, a few blind tee shots, ponds and creeks that factor into play on several holes, and small greens that fall off at the edges. Bunkering is sparse and length shouldn t be a problem as the par-72 layout features four appropriately spaced sets of tee markers. You can play Mountain Harbour Golf Club from as short as 4,493 yards and as long as 6,556 yards. Practice facilities include a driving range, chipping green and putting green. Mountain Harbour Golf Club s grand, lodge-style clubhouse features a pro shop and a restaurant. As you look out on the golf course and the mountains you ll see why this club is such a special spot in southwest North Carolina. Don t miss out on a tee time at Mountain Harbour Golf Club.
