Magnificently renovated in 2019, the golf course at Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort offers a special experience. Originally designed by George Cobb and opened in 1967, this par-71 layout, with seven sets of tees, can play as long as 6,608 yards. The course works through Spanish moss-covered live oaks and pine trees, revealing beautifully manicured holes with strategic bunkering, undulating greens and a wide variety of holes. Water comes into play on several holes as fairways are often bordered by natural marshes, lagoons, and local wildlife. The course, which features coquina shell cart paths, is one of the Golden Isle's most rewarding layouts. Golfers will love the challenge and conditions of the course, which gets more interesting with each hole. The back nine is considerably longer than the front, which ends with a 166-yard par-3. The back side also features the course's no. 1 handicap hole, the 414-yard, par-4 14th. This sharp dogleg left if lined by a heavy thicket of trees and ends with a green protected by a large bunker in front. Besides the course, Sea Palms also offers a driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. Golf instruction is offered by the Sea Palms professional staff. And inside the clubhouse you'll find a well-stocked golf shop, which was also renovated and offers fine apparel and accessories. The clubhouse restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor patio dining. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, much of the menu is sourced from locally sourced ingredients.
