Dunedin Golf Club
About
Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Needs another review
The course will be shutting down at the end of the month for a year to do major renovations, so this review is somewhat difficult. As it was, the course has very good bones. Fun layout. The greens were very good, the fairways were playable, tee boxes ok. The only bad outcome was a five hour 10 minute round. The course was overbooked. I will say if they do indeed redo the course as planned, I will be very anxious to replay it, it’s got that much to look forward to. It could easily get 5 stars if done right!
Lovely layout in good condition
Interesting and well laid out course with a sense of history/maturity. The course is in good condition. I understand there is a major refurb in March. It should be fantastic after that.
Needed work is coming
The course was good value for money but needs a little work. The wet weather has made it a little soggy in places and the greens were slow. I hear that the course has been purchased by the municipality and will be closed this summer for a renovation. I look forward to playing the course after the Reno.
Love to play at Dunedin
I have visited Dunedin 3 times in the last 2 years and have played at Dunedin GC twice each visit, 6 times total. I love this course. Not too long, not too tight, always in great condition. Nice balance of easier, moderate and harder holes. Most greens are well protected by numerous bunkers but reward good shots.
Ed
Starter was great, friendly got us out earlier since range was closed from rain. Guy in pro shop, think he was the pro couldn't of been more rude.
Love the layout and the history
Always love playing this course i hear it going back to original layout cant wait
